Abstract

Validated think-aloud studies (in-person and online) tested the assumptions that correct responses on reflection tests involve reflection and that lured responses do not. Thinking aloud did not significantly change test performance compared to a control group. Most correct responses (69-80%) involved reflection and most lured responses (72-76%) did not.
