Abstract

Research suggests racial and sexual minorities face greater mental health impacts from the COVID-19 pandemic. In community adults, we predicted greater growth in depressive symptoms with the pandemic’s onset among minoritized individuals. Findings indicated additive effects of pandemic onset and minoritization, but no significant interaction on general distress.
