Gender Development Indicators Predict Suicide Risk for Females and Males

The current study examined the relationship between gender development indicators and suicide rates across countries. The results indicated lower life expectancy for females predicted higher suicide rates for males and females. Human development for females and schooling for females were other significant predictors of suicide.
