Abstract
A personal history of child maltreatment and PTSS may increase risk for adverse parenting practices, including beliefs about the use of corporal punishment with one’s own children. Among parents, child sexual abuse and PTSS were associated with more positive attitudes toward corporal punishment compared to other maltreatment types.
