Student Engagement in an AP Statistics Course before and after the Transition to Remote Online Instruction amidst COVID-19

Abstract
We examined whether student engagement in AP Statistics courses changed during the Spring 2020 semester amidst the COVID-19 outbreak. Students (N=123) completed self-reported course engagement in February-early March and again in late April-early May. Results suggest behavioral engagement diminished, though neither affective nor cognitive engagement appeared to change.
