Abstract
Parental warmth and overprotection were found to be significant predictors of a tendency to perceive criticism as destructive. The tendency to perceive criticism as destructive decreases with higher levels of maternal and paternal care (p < 0.001) but increases with higher levels of maternal and paternal overprotection (p < 0.001).
