Parental accommodation of children’s anxiety symptoms is significantly associated with greater health- and disability-related functional impairment in offspring. Clinicians should consider how children’s health-related functional impairment may be shaped by caregiver behaviors, such as parental accommodation, when designing and delivering treatments.
