Gender Inequality Predicts Intimate Partner Violence Against Women across Countries

This study found that gender inequality predicts intimate partner violence (IPV) against women. We examined gender inequality factors such as maternal mortality and work force participation for females, including parliament seats, and found that they were significant predictors for IPV. Results suggest gender inequality and violence against women co-occur.
