Abstract

In a study of 350 preadolescents and their caregivers, caregiver-reported relational aggression was found to be positively correlated with psychopathology. In one measure, socioeconomic status moderated this relationship. Results lend cautious support to relational aggression as adaptive in children of low socioeconomic status.
