How Stereotypes Affect Interpersonal Behaviors in Small-Group Interactions in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM)

Interdisciplinary researchers will present work on the influence of gender stereotypes favoring men on the interpersonal behaviors emerging among students in STEM group project teams. The consequences of these behaviors for student retention in STEM will be presented. An engineering educator will discuss implications for educational practice in STEM.
