Connecting the Past, Present, and Future: How Individual and Contextual Factors Influence Beliefs About the Future

Prospective thinking abilities are vital to development and survival. How individuals predict the future likely varies, however, depending on their past and current life experiences. This symposium considers the role of a variety of contextual and individual factors, including development, minority status, trauma history, and physiological states, on future thinking.
