Abstract

In a nonclinical sample, associations between symptoms of individual Cluster B personality disorders (i.e., antisocial, borderline, histrionic, and narcissistic personality disorders) and alcohol problems were strengthened by alcohol expectancies related to positive reinforcement (i.e., positive affect or pleasure enhancement expectancies) and negative reinforcement (i.e., negative affect or tension reduction expectancies).
