Measuring and Understanding the Impact of Divorce: A Differential Item Functioning (DIF) Analysis of the Trauma Attachment Belief Scale (TABS)

A differential item functioning (DIF) analysis on two subscales of the Trauma Attachment Belief Scale examined whether response differences are present among young adults who grew up with divorced vs. cohabitating parents. Results underscore the need for research on unique contribution of divorce in negative outcomes associated childhood trauma.
