Aggressively Unfriended: Examining the Type of Social Media Post and Subsequent Reaction

This study was interested in aggressive responses to social media posts. Participants indicated more anger and aggression toward posts that were a controversial topic. Participants indicated a greater willingness to complete an aggressive action when confronted with these posts. Results are discussed in terms of modern social media dynamics.
