Young Adults Set High Expectations Online for People They Trust

Abstract
To understand young adults’ intentions when conversing online, we explored attachment security, expectations for responsiveness, and awareness of the reciprocity of interactions. Individuals with the most secure attachment seemed to use online tools to strengthen the quality of their interactions, reporting negative emotions when their postings were overlooked by others.
