Abstract
We examined whether off-task social media multitasking during a video presentation impacted learning. Multitaskers performed significantly worse on a content quiz of the presentation, but only on information presented at the same time as multitasking occurred. There was no evidence of carryover effects to information presented at non-multitasking times.
