Abstract

Students often report using ineffective study techniques and could benefit from using techniques that support learning. Overall, this project utilized text messaging to support evidence-based study practices. Specifically, students received daily quiz questions on their phones, which supported and encouraged practice testing, distributed practice, interleaved practice, and metacognition.
