Abstract

Do online media resources (e.g. alternate lectures and homework help) benefit college students’ academic performance? Regression analyses revealed that using online media was a negative predictor while retrieval practice positively contributed to exam performance. Online media resources should be used with caution because they may be hindering student performance.
