Abstract

Achievement motivation is the best positive predictor of work engagement, work satisfaction and work performance when compared to intrinsic and extrinsic motivation. In addition, achievement motivation positively moderates the positive correlation between the mastery-approach and work performance. The role of achievement motivation in organizational settings is discussed.
