Abstract

This study examined the relations between aspects of social functioning (loneliness, peer social support, social engagement) and subtypes of anxiety (social, school, generalized) in 12-year-olds. Social engagement was associated negatively with social anxiety, social support was associated negatively with school anxiety, and loneliness was associated positively with all anxiety subtypes.
