Associations between Fidelity and Quality of Teacher Coaching in a Social and Emotional Learning Program and Classroom Interactional Quality

Abstract

This study examines how teacher coaching fidelity and quality are related to classroom quality and reports a significant, positive association between coaching quality and Emotional Support. Higher-quality teacher coaching was associated with more emotionally supportive interactions in the classroom, even after controlling for baseline Emotional Support and other covariates.
