The Effects of Feedback during Problem Solving in the Context of Stereotype Threat

Abstract

We examined the effects of feedback on mathematics problem solving in both stereotype-threat and gender-fair contexts. Men outperformed women in the threat condition, and this gender difference was larger when feedback was provided.
