Abstract

Our study uses a novel information-seeking paradigm to elucidate how curiosity directs search processes. We find that individuals can actively generate hypotheses as they watch the unveiling of various line drawings. Similarly, individual’s confidence in identifying the drawing relates to how appealing they found the end product.
