Abstract

While guidelines for teaching students to create good academic posters abound, they often lack empirical support. Our studies investigate the dimensions that impact perceived appeal of posters. Results revealing that text/image ratio and colour are critical help establish empirically-supported guidelines to provide undergraduate students preparing for their first poster presentations.
