Abstract
Multiple regression analyses were performed to test the associations between six personality characteristics and university students’ self-reported importance ratings of reasons for abstaining from each of prescription stimulants, prescription opioids, cocaine, and heroin. Self-Control was the strongest predictor of importance ratings, but adjusted R^2 for all equations were <= 0.101.
