A Novel Approach to Assess Patient Burden Using Data from a Digital Therapeutic for Type 2 Diabetes Predicts Glucose Outcomes

Digital therapeutic data hold great promise in assessing patient burden but are under-explored. Based on data from 811 BlueStar users with Type 2 diabetes, we distilled measures of patient burden from patient annotations in the mobile app. We found that patient burden was associated with worse blood glucose control.
