Religiosity, Social Support, and Transmissible Common Liability to Addiction: Persistent, Transient, and Interactive Effects from Adolescence to Adulthood

The present study uses the Transmissible Liability Index (TLI) to prospectively assess risk for alcohol involvement in the context of two known protective factors - religiosity and social support. All three indicators jointly influence the liability for alcohol use, but their effects are largely independent of each other.
