Individual Differences in College Students’ Social Media Addiction

One hundred and eighty-six participants completed an online survey to predict their levels of social media addiction using the Social Media Disorder Scale. The predictors were self-esteem and loneliness. The results indicated that higher levels of loneliness predicted a significantly greater chance of developing social media addiction.
