Abstract

The current study is a meta-analysis of randomized-controlled experiments that evaluated the effects of adaptive learning systems on learning in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). It provides evidence that adaptive learning systems had positive effects on students’ cognitive and affective outcomes in STEM courses from K-12 to postsecondary education.
