Abstract

Attachment insecurity, avoidance and anxiety, were assessed. Academic achievement was operationalized as self-efficacy for achievement in math, science, and English. Gender, race/ethnicity, and parental education were also considered, to understand how these factors moderated self-efficacy in the subject matters. Analyses revealed gender and race/ethnicity differences in the attachment/self-efficacy variables.
