The Impact of “Developing Scientific Explanations Tool” on Scientific Claim, Evidence, and Reasoning Writing Scores of 7th Grade Students

Abstract

This study investigated whether “Developing Scientific Explanations Tool” (DSET) significantly increased 7th grade students’ scientific Claim, Evidence, and Reasoning Writing Scores. A convenient sample of 7th (N=103) grade students participated in this study. Results demonstrated significant increases for on Claim, Evidence and Reasoning writing scores respectively.
