Flipping Abnormal: Using Team-Based Learning in an Abnormal Psychology Course

Abstract
A Team-Based Learning (TBL) format in an Abnormal Psychology course was evaluated. Compared to students in a lecture-base section of the course, students in the TBL sections reported being challenged to think and examine others’ ideas, increased understanding of the course material, encouraging engagement and interaction with other students.
