Gender Courses Increase Awareness and Activism, but What about Self-Objectification?

Gender courses have been shown to increase awareness of sexism and activism. This study replicated this finding but also examined changes in self-objectification. After Psychology of Gender, students (N=41) endorsed ambivalent sexism less, reported more activism, and reported less body surveillance, but there was no change in body shame.
