Becoming a Target: Anonymous Threats While Teaching a Diversity Course
- Lisa Wagner
University of San Francisco
Abstract
When teaching courses on diversity, instructors are vulnerable not only to classroom confrontations but also to threats from outside the classroom. These threats can be especially difficult to handle because procedures are not covered in faculty orientation. Using case studies, examples of and responses to these threats will be described.
