Abstract

The effectiveness of two lower-resource Supplemental Instruction (SI) components was assessed. Both SI attendance (voluntary) and level of SI-promoted study guide completion were independently associated with higher exam and final course grades, even after controlling for students’ academic ability, effort, and motivation. Attendee characteristics and SI implications are discussed.
