Students “Study Smarter, Not Harder” after Either Attending a Presentation or Reading an Article about Study Strategies

Abstract
We compared the effectiveness of attending a “Study Smarter, Not Harder” presentation to reading an empirical article that offered similar study tips. Students’ study habits improved significantly following both. Additionally, the presentation and the article exerted similar positive effects, suggesting either is an efficacious approach to improve students’ academic success.
