Abstract
A multi-year project identified how diversifying instructional techniques improved student learning in Psychology research methods courses. Comparisons between experimental and control groups on pre- and post-semester measures of mindset, statistics learning, and self-efficacy showed positive outcomes associated with teaching interventions. Methodological advances in designing rigorous learning research are proposed.
