Overcoming Barriers to the Successful Implementation of Service Learning Activities

The majority of faculty members do not offer service learning projects, despite strong evidence of their effectiveness. Faculty perceived a number of barriers to implementation, including high workload, inadequate financial and administrative support, a lack of clear guidelines and policies, and a lack of knowledge.
