Civic Engagement in a General Psychology Course: Identifying and Changing Biases about Others

For this project, students completed 7 Implicit Associations Tests (IATs) to identify their implicit biases. Then, they completed a 10-hour encounter with members from a group for whom they were biased. Finally, students wrote a paper reflecting on their experiences and what they learned. Findings and implications will be discussed.
