Teaching Research Methods By Detecting Deception Using Thermal Imaging

Research methods students designed and conducted a professional-grade, semester-long, group research project to determine if thermal imaging could distinguish between liars and truth-tellers during an interrogation that followed a simulated theft. Via this project, students learned research methods firsthand by applying principles of research design, statistical analysis, and manuscript preparation.
