Using Quizzes to Identify Social Loafers

Abstract

We examined team-work, social loafing and quiz scores. Students’ chapter quiz scores were individual for the first-half of the course. For the second half students received the highest score in their team. Social loafers performed lower in the team condition and for first- half quizzes based on individual efforts.
