Convention Accessibility

APS is committed to ensuring that the APS Annual Convention is fully accessible to all persons. If you have a specific accessibility requirement, please contact the APS Meetings Department by email at [email protected] or +1 202.293.9300. Every attempt will be made to accommodate your request. 

APS offers the following accommodations to all attendees:  

Financial Assistance

APS is pleased to offer financial assistance programs to defray costs for APS Members and Student Affiliates presenting their research at the APS Annual Convention. Learn more.

Nursing Room

A private space will be available for nursing parents. The key will be available at the Registration Desk to be signed out for use. An electrical outlet is available. APS does not provide refrigeration or storage.

American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreters

APS provides ASL interpreters to accompany individual attendees throughout the Convention to all sessions they would like to attend. To request an ASL Interpreter, please reach out to the APS Meetings Team ([email protected]) so we can schedule interpreters accordingly. We ask that all requests be made by April 17 to ensure the availability of interpreters. 

Elevator Access

All spaces within the Convention can be accessed by an elevator.  

Free Registration for any Companion, Caregiver, or Personal Assistant

APS offers complimentary registration for any companion, caregiver, or personal assistant of individuals with disabilities who require assistance to attend the Convention. Please reach out to the APS Meetings Team to request this complimentary registration ([email protected]).  

Microphones

All speakers at all events (except poster sessions) will use microphones for their presentations.
