With the help of the APS Teaching Fund small grant, Kiesa Kelly, Peter Giordano, and Holly Yates held the first annual Psychology Educators of Tennessee (PET) Teaching of Psychology Workshop to facilitate cross-pollination among educators in central Tennessee.

APS Grant Supports International Conference on Teaching
The financial support provided by the APS Fund for the Teaching and Public Understanding of Psychological Science made the July 2008 Third International Conference on the Teaching of Psychology (ICTP) viable. Participants shared innovative teaching techniques, course content updates from an international perspective, and new ideas to enhance and broaden their teaching skills.

Psychology Teachers in Cambodia
Cindy J. Lahar traveled to Phnom Penh to bring teaching materials and offer teacher training between December 19, 2006, and January 9, 2007, for the only psychology department in Cambodia.

Psychology in Iran
Professor Warren Thorngate writes about their time in Iran: It was not the career trajectory I planned. I never imagined I would fly to Iran for a conference in 1993, return 17 times and counting, live with Iranian families, teach at Tehran University, co-direct Iran’s first center for social psychology research at Shahid Beheshti University, and start a web site about psychology in Iran with funding from the Association for Psychological Science. But it all happened, and what an amazing turn it has been!
