UK Funding Opportunity on Advancing Adolescent Mental Health and Wellbeing Research

UK Research and Innovation (UKRI), through the Economic and Social Research Council, Medical Research Council, and the Arts and Humanities Research Council, is supporting research in areas of adolescence, mental health, and the developing mind through a new funding opportunity. This opportunity seeks to strengthen the methodological and conceptual frameworks underlying adolescent mental health research.

Psychological scientists and others are encouraged to submit to this funding opportunity and contribute to this important area of research. According to the solicitation, projects should (1) address a clear area of unmet need regarding existing research methods, concepts, tools, or measures, or (2) identify innovative new approaches for conducting mental health and wellbeing research with adolescents.

While a multidisciplinary approach is expected, UKRI states that in some instances it is not feasible or appropriate. Only researchers based in the UK or who are from a UK research organization are eligible to apply for this opportunity.

The application deadline is December 1, 2021, 16:00 UK time.
