APS Journals Now on JSTOR

The APS journals Psychological Science, Current Directions in Psychological Science, and Psychological Science in the Public Interest were recently added to the JSTOR database, opening them up to a multitude of researchers, students, and professionals around the globe. Material from the newest APS journal, Perspectives on Psychological Science, will be added once it reaches five years of publication.

Since its founding by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation in the late 1990s, JSTOR has been providing scholarship to a truly astounding number of users. From January 1, 2009, to September 16, 2009, the JSTOR database was accessed over 325 million times, with 89 million individual searches performed and 42 million articles printed out by users! All back issues of these three APS journals, from the first publication of Psychological Science in 1990 up until the most recent five years, will be available to these academic masses via JSTOR.

Most users access JSTOR via institutional licenses at almost 6,000 institutions, more than half of which are outside the United States.  JSTOR is committed to not only to international growth in developed nations, but to fostering growth by offering low-cost or free access to academic and non-profit institutions in 41 developing nations and free access for the entire African continent.
