Exciting News from APS Meetings!

APS merges Annual Convention and the biennial International Convention of Psychological Science (ICPS) and launches new APS Global Psychological Science Summit.

We are thrilled to share exciting news for the Association for Psychological Science (APS) and the field.

Starting in 2025, APS will merge the Annual Convention and the biennial International Convention of Psychological Science (ICPS). The new APS Annual Convention will rotate outside of North America every three years.

What can you expect? The integrative science showcased in the ICPS program will remain along with the invited programming from across psychological science that has been the foundation of the APS Annual Convention. APS will continue to welcome submissions for symposia, flash talks, and poster presentations.

By integrating our meetings, APS will produce powerful and effective global scientific events that reflect the richness and diversity of the entire psychological science community. This scientific meeting will provide greater accessibility, ensuring that attendees from all parts of the world can participate more easily.

As another step towards accessibility, environmental sustainability, and greater collaboration on a global scale, we are also excited to announce the launch of a NEW APS Global Psychological Science Summit scheduled for October 2024. This online summit will offer an additional, and sustainable, avenue for scientific exchange and collaboration among psychological scientists. The program will include exciting new workshops, roundtable discussions, and opportunities for poster presentation. Submissions will be open in the coming months, and more information will be available via our website soon

As outlined in our strategic plan, APS has identified three goals to guide our work: strengthen the global psychological science community, make psychological science more meaningful in the public sphere, and wisely and efficiently use resources to advance our mission. These upcoming events advance all three goals.
