Microdosing Impairs Cognitive Control: Acute Low-Dose Psilocybin Reduces Executive Function Efficiency

Abstract
This study examines whether acute microdose-level psilocybin impairs executive function despite reported mood benefits. Participants will receive either a placebo or a legal psilocybin-analog microdose and complete tasks assessing error monitoring, working memory, and cognitive flexibility. Subtle executive control deficits are expected, indicating possible cognitive trade-offs associated with microdosing.
