Wages-Classroom: An Effective Tool for Teaching about Gender Bias and Promoting Action

Abstract
Drawing from experiential learning theory and intersectional pedagogy, we developed a teaching tool – Workshop Activity for Gender Equity Simulation-Classroom (WAGES-Classroom) – that uses gameplay and discussion to educate about gender bias and motivate action. In laboratory and field experiments, we found that this approach effectively facilitates learning outcomes.
