Inclusive Teaching Strategies in a Methods and Statistics in Psychology Course

Abstract

Inclusive teaching strategies and a universal design for learning (UDL) framework were applied to a methods and statistics in psychology course to promote student inclusion. Strategies such as polling students’ pre-semester attitudes towards statistics to develop a learning community and providing a plus-one approach to support students’ learning were implemented.
