Abstract

This study investigated event-related potentials of processing numerosities by change directionality and magnitude. While viewing sequential numerical stimuli during EEG, participants pressed a key whenever change was detected. Parietal analyses showed that Decreasing change and smaller numbers produced shallower N1 amplitudes, as well as earlier and stronger P3b amplitudes.
